Deutschland – Teilchenbeschleuniger – Design, Manufacture, Supply and Installation of the Liquid Nitrogen (LN2) Transfer Line System for the Super-FRS Experiment Area

The tender covers the design, manufacture, supply, installation and testing of a vacuum-insulated liquid nitrogen transfer system for the Super-FRS experiment area at FAIR/GSI in Darmstadt, Germany. The base scope comprises approximately 200 m of transfer line connecting the tank area to HI/DESPEC and FHF1, including two valve boxes with manual, pressure-relief and 24 V solenoid valves. A separately callable option comprises approximately 120 m of additional transfer line and one valve box for FHF2, with provision for this extension included in the base design. The system shall deliver 25 l/min of LN2 at a nominal temperature of 77 K, with a tank pressure of 1.3 bara and at least 1.1 bara remaining at the farthest consumer. The contractor"s scope includes thermal and hydraulic calculations, supports and thermal contraction compensation, applicable AD 2000 and PED compliance, factory and site acceptance testing, and technical documentation; the storage tanks and valve control system and wiring are excluded. Installation is provisionally targeted for completion by the end of Q3 2027, subject to confirmation.
